The President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) has published its Activity Report 2024. As every year, it contains a summary of the most important information and data on the condition of the Polish electricity, heat, gas and liquid fuels markets.

20 per cent slump in electricity prices in the settlements of power generators within corporate groups

In the first quarter of 2025, the average energy price in the settlements of power generators within capital groups was 475.77 PLN/MWh, down 20 per cent on the previous quarter (595.05 PLN/MWh) and the same last quarter year to year (596.59 PLN/MWh).

Power market: The President of the URE announces the results of supplementary auctions for 2026

The President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) has announced the final results of the supplementary auctions for the individual quarters of the 2026 power supply year. In four separate auctions held by Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne , the final prices for each quarter ranged from 37.24 to 487 PLN/kW/year. The auctions were held on 27 March 2025.

Energy transition: two entities added to the list of aggregators

In April, another two entities were added to the list of aggregators maintained by the President of URE and one aggregator was removed from the list.
