RES: two entities added to the Register of Energy Clusters
On 22 July 2025, Szczecinecki Klaster Energetyczny was entered as the nineth entity in the Register of Energy Clusters kept by the President of URE. On June 18, Klaster Powiatu Białostockiego was entered into the Register.
Szczecinecki Klaster Energetyczny operates within the Szczecinek municipality in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The cluster's member is also Invest Park Szczecinek.
The distribution system operator is Energa-Operator.
Klaster Powiatu Białostockiego operates in the area of nine municipalities: Choroszcz, Czarna Białostocka, Juchnowiec Kościelny, Łapy, Michałowo, Supraśl, Suraż, Zabłudów, Białystok.
This cluster is composed of eleven entities: Białystok County, Social Welfare Home in Choroszcz, Social Welfare Home in Uhów, Adam Mickiewicz High School in Łapy, Vocational Training Center in Łapy, School Complex in Czarna Białostocka, Children's Home in Supraśl, Jawor Social Welfare Home in Jałówka, Stefan Czarniecki Mechanical School Complex in Łapy, District Road Authority in Białystok and District Environmental Welfare Home in Łaźnia.
The distribution system operator is PGE Dystrybucja.
Who can get registered?
The Register of Energy Clusters maintained by the President of URE together with the new definition of a cluster have been in force since 1 January 2024 following to 2023 amendment to the Renewable Energy Sources Act. The registration is voluntary but give access to the support system offering such benefits as, for example, an exemption from the RES fee or the co-generation fee.
The entry in the registry is available to any energy cluster operating in the area of a county (powiat) or a maximum of five neighbouring municipalities, which includes at least one representative of the local government.
