20 per cent slump in electricity prices in the settlements of power generators within corporate groups
In the first quarter of 2025, the average energy price in the settlements of power generators within capital groups was 475.77 PLN/MWh, down 20 per cent on the previous quarter (595.05 PLN/MWh) and the same last quarter year to year (596.59 PLN/MWh).
At the beginning of 2025, however, the volume of energy sold within corporate groups increased. The volume was 32.42 TWh in 2025 Q1, compared to 29.40 TWh in 2024 Q4. This represents an increase of more than 9 per cent.
The President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) publishes the average quarterly electricity price for corporate group settlements from the beginning of 2023. Since the first quarter of 2023, the price has fallen by as much as nearly 45 per cent.
