Energy transition: another entity added to the list of aggregators
On 4 April 2025 entity Verda Energy Solutions of Gliwice was entered on the list of aggregators.
Verda Energy Solutions plans to start aggregation on 1 June 2025 in the areas of the following operators: Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne, Enea Operator, Energa-Operator, PGE Dystrybucja, Stoen Operator and Tauron Dystrybucja.
Currently, six entities are listed on the aggregator's list.
Aggregation is the activity of combining the volume of capacity or electricity offered by consumers, electricity generators or electricity storage operators, taking into account the technical capacity of the network to which they are connected, for the purpose of selling electricity, providing system services or flexibility services on the electricity markets. The role of the aggregator was introduced by an amendment to the Energy Law.
Each entity that indents to provide aggregation services must apply to the President of URE for entry on the list maintained by the Regulator.
Entities applying for such an entry must meet certain conditions, including:
- identify the electricity system operators in whose area of operation the aggregation will take place;
- specify the planned start date of the aggregation;
- indicate whether they also intend to operate using a peer-to-peer trading platform for renewable energy.
In order to confirm this activity, the aggregator should submit the relevant information together with a copy of the aggregation agreement concluded with a final consumer of electricity, electricity generator or operator of an energy storage facility.
The President of URE is in fact required to remove an aggregator from the list if the aggregation is not undertaken within six months from the date of listing.
Detailed information on the list of aggregators, the procedure for obtaining an entry and the application form are available on URE website.
