Head office of URE in a new location
From 1 September, the head office of the Energy Regulatory Office will be located at 25a Towarowa Street in Warsaw.
Due to the change of premises and the move scheduled for mid-August, between 16 August and 15 September there may be temporary difficulties in contacting employees of the various departments of URE. The access to case files for ongoing administrative proceedings at the URE’s premises will also be limited.
Starting from 1 September, all correspondence to the Energy Regulatory Office should be sent to the new address:
In all cases where this is possible, we encourage and recommend that correspondence is sent via the ePUAP mailbox.
Other important information related to the limitations resulting from the change of the URE’s head office:
- The possibility of obtaining expert advice in person at the Information Point for Electricity and Gas Consumers will not be available between 14 August and 8 September. During this time, please contact us by phone (at 22 244 26 36) and email (drr@ure.gov.pl).
- Issuing of certificates and guarantees of origin: we would like to draw the attention of electricity system operators who send confirmed applications of generators to the Office to take into account the date of the change of the Office’s address when sending correspondence, in order to avoid situations in which applications sent to the current address of URE after 1 September would, for example, be returned to the senders by the postal operator, which would consequently extend the waiting time for the that generators to have their case processed by the Office.
- Industrial customers: deadline for submitting the declarations referred to in Article 54 of the RES Act is 31 August 2023. Due to the move of URE, it may happen that letters delivered to the Office after 31 August and addressed to 181 Jerozolimskie Avenue will be returned to the senders by the postal operator. In order to avoid the consequences of missed deadlines for the submission of the declarations by industrial customers, we recommend that you retain the confirmation of posting the declarations (sending a statement after 31 August carries the sanction of being prohibited from participating in the support scheme for five years).
- Telephone numbers of the URE switchboard remain unchanged.
- The URE’s bank account numbers and the accounts for the payment of the stamp duty remain unchanged.
- Starting from 25 August 2023 16:00 hours until 28 August 2023, URE’s registers and lists will not be available.
- Starting from 23 August 2023 17:00 hours until 29 August 2023, the Online Auction Platform will not be available.
- The relocation of the URE’s Warsaw head office has no impact on the operation of the Office’s Regional Branches.
