Energy Regulatory Office Department of Liquid Fuels Market - Departments and Bureaus

The Department of Liquid Fuels Market (DPC) is responsible for:

• granting, revoking, amending or declaring the expiry of licences for: generation, transmission, distribution, storage or transshipment of liquid fuels, trading and supply of liquid fuels, including foreign trade in liquid fuels, as well as verifying compliance with the conditions for carrying out the activities subject to a concession;
• issuing a decision ordering the continuation of activity after the expiry of a concession;
• keeping a register of importers with regard to foreign entities importing liquid fuels into the territory of the Republic of Poland;
• monitoring of the progress towards the National Indicative Target together with maintaining a list of entities obliged to implement the NIT;
• monitoring and application of measures to reduce life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions from transport fuels and electricity used in motor vehicles, including scrutiny over entities implementing the National Reduction Target,
• collection of information resulting from the reporting obligations of energy companies, analysis of such information for the purposes of the activities of the President of URE and assessing penalties in case of breaches of reporting obligations;
• exercising scrutiny over businesses operating in the liquid fuels market to ensure legal compliance of their activities.
