The ERO President nominated the ACER Implementation, Monitoring and Procedure Working Group Chairman
On 31 January 2012 Marek Woszczyk, the ERO President by a decision of ACER’s Director, Alberto Pototschnig was appointed the Chairman of the ACER Implementation, Monitoring and Procedures Working Group.
The decision followed the ACER Board of Regulators (BoR) recommendations expressed in its 15th meeting of 24 January 2012 in Brussels.
The ACER Implementation, Monitoring and Procedure Working Group (AIMP) is one of the two newly established Working Groups within ACER, besides the Market Integrity and Transparency Working Group focusing on the implementation of REMIT.
AIMP Working Group will be tasked with assisting the ACER Director and the BoR on monitoring the general implementation of the EU law in the field of energy, as well as the compliance of network codes drawn by DSOs with the framework guidelines of the Agency and national regulatory authorities. The AIMP WG will also draw up common procedures which satisfy the requirements of the different Member States jurisdictions.
In cooperation with the CEER Implementation, Benchmarking and Monitoring Working Group, chaired by the ERO President by the nomination of 24 January, the AIMP Working Group will be drawing a ACER-CEER Joint Annual report on the results of monitoring of the internal electricity and natural gas market.
The group will be also responsible for preparing a report with a status review of the Regional Initiatives and opinion on decisions of national regulatory authorities on TSO certification in cooperation with the respective electricity and gas working groups.
