The President of ERO became the Chairman of CEER Implementation, Benchmarking and Monitoring Working Group (IBM WG)
On 24 January 2012 during General Assembly of Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) Marek Woszczyk - the President of ERO was elected the Chairman of the CEER Implementation, Benchmarking and Monitoring Working Group.
The CEER Implementation, Benchmarking and Monitoring Working Group is one of six active working groups in the CEER structure. The group deals with analyses, monitoring and reporting for the EU Regulators, the EU Commission and ACER. The IBM WG is responsible for analyses of drafts of EU legislative acts and monitoring the process of implementing the EU law in the Member States, including the implementation of 3rd energy package. The group also deals with drawing up reports and comparative studies, as well as coordination of other assignments in the field of monitoring of electricity and gas markets. Currently, the group consists of one task force and two workstreams, including Legal Work Stream - LWS. According to CEER’s work schedule for 2012, during this year the group will prepare several reports, including a benchmarking study on the European transmission system operators efficiency and a status review on the implementation of the EU unbundling requirements for transmission and distribution system operators.
